Job Description
Under limited supervision, responsible for providing skilled craftsmanship as a journeyman plumber and assisting with all duties related to the assignment.
Schedule Monday-Friday from 7:45am-4:15pm
- Installs, maintains, repairs, and services plumbing systems.
- Performs skilled plumbing work during alteration, repair and maintenance of buildings.
- Installs pipes, sinks, traps, washbowls, toilet fittings, drains, special laboratory sinks and drain tables.
- Repairs and maintains valves, faucets, traps, sinks and vents.
- 5 Connects hot water heaters, gas heaters, furnaces and tests for safety.
- Repairs sewer pipes.
- Unstops clogged lines.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Excellent communication & customer service skills.
- Knowledge reviewing blueprints, building plans, or specifications to determine plumbing work details or procedures.
- Knowledge of all phases of plumbing and sewer installation and repair processes.
- Working knowledge of codes and safety measures.
- Knowledge and usage of measuring and testing devices, hand and power tools.
- Able to work in fast pace environments and accomplish tasks in timely manner.
- Exhibits accuracy and thoroughness; monitors own work for quality.
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:
- Master plumbing license is required.
- Valid Texas driver's license is required - must have clear driving record.
