RESPONSIBILITIES

The Plumber is responsible for carrying out day to day maintenance related plumbing works as assigned by the Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
• Reactive Maintenance and Fault-Finding
• Water Supply and Distribution Systems
• Sanitary and Drainage Systems
• Hot-Water Systems lots (oil stains and building material to be removed).
• Tenant and Building Support
• Emergency Plumbing Response
• Tenant Installations and Minor Projects
• Compliance and Safe Working Practices
• Reporting, Stock and Contractor Coordination
• Water-saving initiatives
• Plumbing asset registers

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Matric
• N1 - N3 Plumbing Qualification
• Min of 2 years as a plumber with good Technical knowledge
• Leak detection and repairs
• Drainage maintenance
• Soldering, threading, solvent welding, compression fittings and other pipe-joining
• Experience with booster pumps, circulation pumps, float valves and water-storage system

• Good communication - Both verbally and in writing
• Reading plumbing drawings
• Understanding building services
• Working with building infrastructure
• Preventative maintenance
• Basic building repairs
