Job Duties:

  • Installs, maintains and repairs air, vacuum and piped gas lines and equipment including pumps, tanks and dryers.
  • Installs, maintains and repairs domestic water piping and equipment including pumps, tanks, coils and water heaters.
  • Installs, maintains and repairs steam piping and distribution equipment including reducing station, valves, heaters and sterilizing equipment.
  • Installs, maintains and repairs plumbing fixtures.
  • Installs, maintains and repairs sanitary drains, sewers and storm sewers including holding tanks and sewage pumps.
  • Fills out job completion forms and daily reports.
  • Performs preventive maintenance and equipment inspections as assigned.

This position typically works 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM; however, hours may vary to meet departmental operational needs. Participation in a rotating weekend and on-call schedule is required.

Education:
