ASRC Federal Netcentric Technology, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Plumber to support our KEOS Program located at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

In this role, you'll handle routine maintenance, timely repairs, system upgrades, and customer service calls with efficiency and expertise. You'll perform essential service tasks, troubleshoot issues, and ensure accurate documentation to meet company and customer standards. Regular communication with dispatch and supervisors will keep projects on track. Additionally, you'll provide after-hours support on an as-needed basis to ensure our customers are always taken care of. Duties and Responsibilities:
• Correctly and efficiently complete installation, modification, and repairs, of various plumbing systems and equipment, including but not limited to:
◦ Defective pipes
◦ Fixtures
◦ Valves
◦ Sewage disposal
◦ Gas distribution
◦ Airlines and similar utility systems and equipment
• Accurately test and check completed work for proper drainage, flow, and venting.
• Properly measures, fabricates, and installs odd size adjoining parts and/or improvises installations when blueprints and sketches do not provide sufficient information.
• Properly uses, maintains, and accounts for all types of hand and/or power tools as required, to accomplish assigned duties.
• Knowledge of equipment assembly, installation, operation, and repair, to included routing, replacement, slant, slope, and fall of system.
• Skill in the use of any of the accepted trade methods and techniques, such as wiping and pouring lead joints, seating equipment, and installing any combinations of couplings, unions, and joint need for proper operation of the systems.
• Assemble pipe sections, tubing, and fitting, using coupling, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic sol vent, caulking, or soldering, brazing and welding equipment.
• Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observe pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks.
• Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angles, using hand and power tools or machines such as pipe cutters, pipe-threading machines, and pipe-bending machines.
• Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves and water heaters, and fixtures, such as sinks and toilets, using hand and power tools.
• Cut openings in structures to accommodate pipes and pipe fitting, using hand and power tools.
• Hang steel supports from ceiling joists to hold pipes in place.
• Repair, maintain, and replace broken pipes and opening clogged drains.
• Be able to perform on call duties after normal duty hours and on weekends and holidays.
• Maintains operation, inspection, and maintenance records on plumbing systems within the Government systems of record, including NexGen IT
Requirements:
• Must have two to four (2-4) years of plumbing experience.
• Plumbing Journeyman License or higher required with work in Civil Engineering or equivalent military experience.
• Masters Plumbing License preferred/highly desired.
• Must possess excellent oral, written, and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to execute on multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have the ability to deal with the customer and company employees in a courteous, professional, and effective manner.
• Must have the ability to work extended periods of times, shift work, and on call.
• Valid State Driver's license
• Ability to obtain and maintain government clearance which requires a US Citizenship and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
Physical Demands:
This classification's activities range from, an office environment with extensive sitting demands to a field environment with extensive climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands. May occasionally be required to lift objects whose weight exceeds 30 pounds. Special vision abilities to perform this job are close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.

Work Environment:
The diversity of work conditions may range from an office environment where there is little or no physical discomfort to a field environment where inclement weather may subject the individual to severe changes in temperature, wind, rain, etc. May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail. May be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and electrical shock hazards. May be required to work a flexible work schedule and alternating work days to meet mission and customer requirements.
