The Plumber position is responsible for performing skilled plumbing work involving the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of domestic water, sanitary sewer, stormwater, gas, and related plumbing systems across campus facilities. This position supports the operational continuity of academic, residential, athletic, dining, and administrative buildings through preventive maintenance, emergency response, inspections, and repair activities while ensuring compliance with applicable plumbing and safety codes.
Authority and Accountability
This position reports to the Plumbing Supervisor or designated Facilities Operations management staff. This position does not directly supervise employees but may assist in coordinating contractors, vendors, temporary employees, or student workers as assigned. The position is responsible for maintaining University plumbing systems and supporting operational response to campus infrastructure issues and emergencies.
