The Texas Rangers are seeking a skilled and dependable Plumber to support operations at Texas Rangers facilities, including Globe Life Field and Choctaw Stadium This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment to ensure safe and efficient facility operations. The role includes preventative maintenance, emergency response, blueprint interpretation, water heater installation and repair, vendor coordination, and maintaining accurate records of labor and materials. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, safety-conscious, able to work independently, and comfortable working in fast-paced, physically demanding environments, including nights, weekends, holidays, and event operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
Maintain, install, or repair pipes, fittings, or fixtures of heating, water or drainage systems according to specifications or plumbing codes.
Provides professional customer satisfaction.
Test pipes to determine whether systems are working accurately.
Interprets and applies mechanical and structural blueprints to plan plumbing repairs and modifications.
Determine sources of plumbing malfunctions and complete repairs as indicated or according to work orders.
Maintain accurate records on material and labor used.
Performs job as scheduled and within budget.
Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean.
Respond to emergency calls as needed.
Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Repair and install electric, and tankless water heaters.
Operate tools and equipment according to safety procedures.
All other duties as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
4 plus years of experience with building plumbing maintenance.
Texas Journeyman Plumber License required.
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
Ability to prioritize job functions.
Personal initiative and follow-through to completion.
Ability to work independently without supervision.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including but not limited to nights, weekends and holiday.
Climbing, stooping, kneeling, balancing, bending and twisting is required.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
May be required to return to work when major problems with plumbing are encountered on off-shifts or weekends. Responsible for planning and organizing preventative maintenance for all plumbing equipment for both Globe Life Field and Choctaw Stadium. Administrative duties include time keeping duties for people in your department and collecting bids for any material or repairs needed from 3rd party vendors. Ability to work in noisy and hot environments and to work with water.
