Campus: Deaconess Gateway Hospital - Newburgh, Indiana
Schedule: Day Shift 7:30a - 4:00p (40 hours per week)
Unit: E&M Department

  • Install, maintain, and repair hot/cold water systems, pumps, valves, restroom fixtures, and water treatment equipment.
  • Maintain and repair medical gas systems (oxygen, vacuum, nitrous oxide) in compliance with safety codes.
  • Manage and service waste removal systems including sanitary drains, sewage equipment, and bedpan washers.
  • Repair and maintain HVAC and steam systems including boilers, coils, traps, and related piping.
  • Respond quickly to plumbing emergencies to ensure safety and minimize disruptions.
  • Perform regular inspections, use CMMS for recordkeeping, and collaborate with staff to resolve issues.

Required Certification/License/Experience:

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or minimum of five years' relevant experience in plumbing and/or pipefitting.

Required License in Journeyman Plumber
Preferred License in Medical Gas Certification and Backflow Prevention Certification
