Job Shift: 3rd Shift ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Setup, operate and adjust plating lines.
- Heat treats production parts using heat treating equipment
- Process parts in heat treat ovens and quench tanks according to work instructions
- Adjust, set up and operate heat treat equipment (furnaces)
- Record times that parts are removed from furnaces to document that objects have attained specified temperatures for specific times
- Adjust controls to maintain temperatures and heating times, using thermal instruments and charts, dials, and gauges of furnaces.
- Perform quality checks of products and assure good product.
-  Read prints and routings
- Operator pallet jackets and other material handling devices.
- Follow established machine settings and parameters
- Perform preventative maintenance on machines
- Perform 5s activities within the cell.

- Frequent standing, walking, talking, hearing and seeing
- Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds
- Frequent reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, fingering, grasping, feeling, twisting, bending and repetitive motion
- Visual acuity to determine the accuracy and thoroughness of product and/or parts
- Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles
- Frequent exposure to moderate to heavy noise
- The ability to wear proper personal protective equipment, including earplugs, safety glasses, safety shoes, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Must have 3 years experience in Heat Treat or Plating.
- Must be able to work any shift
- Ability to use precision instruments
- Lean and 5s experience
- Knowledge of plating processes and production lines preferred.  Use decimals, fractions and shop mathematics.
- Mechanical aptitude with the various types of tools used in the machining process
