We are entering a critical scale-up phase where speed must be balanced with stability, security, reliability, and cost efficiency. We are looking for a highly experienced Platforms Lead to help evolve our engineering infrastructure into a mature, platform-driven ecosystem that enables teams to move faster with confidence.

This role sits at the intersection of platform engineering, cloud architecture, DevOps, security, compliance, reliability, and developer experience. You will play a key role in building scalable infrastructure foundations while acting as a force multiplier for engineering teams.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both strategic thinking and deep technical execution.

Requirements

What Success Looks Like

  • Engineering teams ship faster with confidence and standardized guardrails
  • Cloud cost, security, and reliability become predictable, measurable, and optimized
  • CI/CD systems are production-ready, secure, and highly trusted
  • Platform decisions simplify developer workflows and reduce operational complexity
  • Infrastructure becomes self-service, scalable, and developer-friendly

Key Responsibilities

Platform & Cloud Architecture

  • Own and evolve platform and cloud architecture across AWS, GCP, and Azure environments
  • Design reusable and opinionated platform patterns instead of one-off infrastructure solutions
  • Build and scale Internal Developer Platforms (IDP) with:
    • Self-service environments
    • Golden paths and paved roads
    • Standardized templates and engineering guardrails
  • Lead Kubernetes and cloud-native platform adoption at scale
  • Drive infrastructure automation using Terraform, Pulumi, or similar Infrastructure-as-Code tools

CI/CD, Reliability & Developer Experience

  • Establish and enforce strong CI/CD practices with automated quality gates and deployment readiness
  • Improve testing, automation, deployment safety, and release confidence
  • Define and monitor SLIs, SLOs, golden signals, and incident response practices
  • Reduce operational toil and improve developer productivity through platform improvements
  • Build scalable and cost-efficient observability systems using tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and New Relic
  • Enable teams to seamlessly integrate observability into applications and services

Security, Privacy & Compliance

  • Implement security-by-default principles across infrastructure and delivery pipelines
  • Lead readiness and implementation for:
    • ISO 27001:2022
    • SOC 2 Type II
    • DPDP Act compliance
  • Implement zero-trust security, least-privilege access, and secure data isolation practices
  • Drive governance, vulnerability management, and infrastructure security standards

FinOps & Optimization

  • Build cloud cost visibility and accountability across engineering teams
  • Implement FinOps practices including budgets, alerts, reporting, and optimization routines
  • Drive infrastructure efficiency and balance build-vs-buy decisions with ROI-focused thinking

AI, Data & MLOps Foundations

  • Enable scalable and secure AI/ML infrastructure foundations
  • Define infrastructure guardrails for AI workloads and sensitive data management

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to align platform and business goals
  • Mentor engineers and guide teams through platform and infrastructure evolution
  • Lead long-term strategic initiatives while remaining execution-focused and pragmatic

Required Qualifications

  • 6–8+ years of experience building and operating production-grade infrastructure and cloud platforms
  • Experience scaling infrastructure in high-growth or regulated environments
  • Strong hands-on expertise with:
    • Kubernetes and cloud-native ecosystems
    • Service Mesh and Policy Engines
    • AWS, GCP, and Azure
    • Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code tools
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, and GitOps workflows
  • Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and New Relic
  • Ability to read and contribute to systems written in Go, Python, or Node.js
  • Practical experience implementing ISO 27001 and SOC 2 security controls
  • Strong understanding of privacy, data protection, and access control mechanisms

Preferred Skills

  • DevOps
  • GCP
  • SecOps
  • FinOps
  • Docker & Kubernetes
  • Infrastructure Automation
  • Platform Engineering
  • Cloud Security
  • Observability & Monitoring

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Strong ownership mindset with a bias for action
  • Reliability-focused, analytical, and cost-conscious decision maker
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced and ambiguous environments
  • Collaborative communicator who can balance technical excellence with business priorities
  • Experience in fintech, identity, or regulated industries is an added advantage
  • Prior experience building Internal Developer Platforms or shared infrastructure tooling is preferred
  • Contributions to open-source projects are a plus
