Job Description

The Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) at JPMorgan Chase is pivotal in advancing the firm's data and analytics capabilities, ensuring strong adherence to data & AI risk and control while enabling the data & analytics strategy for superior decision-making and business outcomes to serve our clients and markets. By leveraging data and AI/ML, the CDAO develops innovative solutions to support commercial goals, enhance productivity, and manage risks. The Asia Pacific CDAO advances the firm’s data and analytics strategy, platforms, solutions, capabilities, and governance to deliver trustworthy, responsible, innovative, and commercially valuable outcomes across the APAC markets and businesses.

As Vice President for Platforms & Infrastructure, you will oversee the delivery and integration of APAC-specific data and AI platforms, ensuring they meet business and regulatory needs. You’ll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, support vendor integration, and help embed data and AI solutions into business processes. The role focuses on building robust, scalable, and compliant infrastructure to drive data-driven transformation across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee delivery and integration of APAC data and AI platforms.
  • Support vendor integration and last-mile solution embedment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet business and regulatory requirements.
  • Help implement data governance, access controls, and compliance measures.
  • Contribute to platform optimization, monitoring, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Lead platform upgrades and migrations to modern infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for platform architecture and processes.
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers.
  • Ensure platforms support both batch and real-time analytics needs.
  • Drive adoption of new technologies and best practices across teams.
  • Mentor and develop engineering talent within the team.
  • Track and report on platform performance, usage, and compliance metrics.
  • Partner with risk and compliance teams to address regulatory changes.
  • Support budgeting and resource planning for platform initiatives.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and industry trends.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, or related field.
  • 8+ years’ experience in platform engineering, infrastructure management, or technology delivery.
  • Experience with cloud technologies, big data platforms, and APAC regulatory environments.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
  • Experience with data governance, metadata management, and access controls.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML platform engineering and MLOps practices.
  • Demonstrated success in vendor management and integration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in financial services or other regulated industries.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery, business continuity, and security frameworks.
  • Experience with budgeting, resource allocation, and project planning.
