The Platform Systems Engineer Lead is a senior technical leader responsible for the design, delivery, standardization, and operational excellence of Cook Children’s platform infrastructure. This role provides hands-on technical leadership across multiple infrastructure and platform domains, supports Epic client delivery, and ensures platform solutions are secure, reliable, scalable, and aligned with enterprise architecture and clinical operational requirements. The position serves as a primary technical authority within the Platform Engineering team and mentors engineers through complex initiatives and modernization efforts.

Qualifications:

• 8 years of progressive experience in enterprise infrastructure, platform engineering, or systems engineering.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

• Equivalent combinations of progressive experience, technical certifications, and demonstrated competency may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification

• 2 or more relevant technical certifications. Applicable certifications include Microsoft, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Citrix, VMware, IGEL, or CompTIA.
