Job Description

Hej Platform Specialist,

Do you want to furnish the future with innovative solutions?

With us, you can feel at home in your work while sharing that feeling with millions of people around the world. We encourage you to stand up for yourself and others, creating an environment where everyone feels welcome. We invite you to open new doors, discover new tech possibilites, embrace mistakes, and grow from them. As our Platform Specialist, you’ll have many opportunities to try things you’ve never done before.

Your new job

We’re looking for a Platform Specialist with strong backend and .NET expertise who wants to solve complex, real-world engineering challenges and make product teams more effective. You will join Range Technology Foundation, where we create horizontal capabilities, reusable services, frameworks, automation and guidance that help teams build and operate secure, compliant and reliable digital products. Your primary focus will be turning recurring backend needs into well-designed platform capabilities and attractive golden paths that are easier, safer and faster to adopt than building from scratch.

  • On a typical day, you will:
  • Design, build and evolve reusable backend capabilities and services using .NET and C#.
  • Create reference implementations, libraries, templates and APIs that product teams can adopt with low friction.
  • Shape engineering standards for API design, security, observability, testing, resilience and lifecycle management.
  • Work hands-on with product teams to understand use cases, simplify onboarding and improve developer experience.
  • Bridge product-team needs with shared infrastructure and enterprise platform services, resolving technical dependencies and integration challenges.
  • Contribute to CI/CD frameworks, automation and operational readiness, including monitoring, supportability and continuous improvement.
  • Document platform setups and patterns, share knowledge and help engineers build confidence in the capabilities we provide.
  • Use measures such as adoption, availability, lead time for change, deployment frequency, time to restore service and change failure rate to guide improvements.

Qualifications

What we’d like you to bring to the table

The role as a Platform Specialist requires you to:

  • Have strong professional experience in backend engineering with C# and modern .NET.
  • Be skilled in designing and building secure, reliable and maintainable APIs, services and system integrations.
  • Understand cloud-native development, containers, CI/CD, automated testing, observability and production operations.
  • Turn complex engineering challenges into reusable solutions, clear standards and practical guidance.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with engineers, platform colleagues, architects, product teams and stakeholders.
  • Be motivated by enablement: helping other teams move faster while retaining appropriate autonomy and ownership.
  • Bring curiosity, sound judgement, attention to detail and a drive for continuous learning and improvement.

It’s a plus if you also:

  • Have experience building internal developer platforms, shared libraries, engineering frameworks or self-service capabilities.
  • Have worked with Azure services, Kubernetes, API management, identity and access, or infrastructure as code.
  • Have experience coaching engineers, facilitating technical decisions or driving adoption across several teams.
