People are living longer and we’re excited by the opportunities this brings to help people live their best lives. We’re here for everyone who wants to make the most of their time on the planet and leave it a little better than they found it – however grand or humble their ambitions.

We help people live their best lives. We help them with the big stuff, for the moments that matter: Pensions, Savings, Investments. At Aegon, we strive in creating a diverse organisation that plays a meaningful role in driving greater equity, inclusion and belonging.

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our Platform Investment Administration team. You’ll be responsible for supporting reconciliation processes and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

We’re looking for someone with a strong understanding of reconciliations, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to delivering high quality service by taking full ownership of each customer transaction.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure consistency with procedures, perform process checks, and manage error control
  • Take ownership of timely processing, reconciliation, and reporting activities
  • Investigate and resolve issues or exceptions that arise during processing
  • Manage exceptions resulting from processing failures, identifying root causes and implementing solutions outside standard procedures
  • Provide assurance on the quality of colleagues’ work to minimise errors and deliver excellent customer service
  • Take responsibility for your own development by working towards capability matrix goals and building a full understanding of end-to-end platform processes
  • Recommend and contribute to improvements in procedures, processes, and technology to enhance customer experience, reduce risk, and improve efficiency
  • Stay informed about changes to the platform proposition, regulatory requirements, and Aegon’s strategic direction

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Experience within a Financial Services organisation
  • Understanding of the principles of CASS/Client Money regulations, rules and practices
  • Strong grasp of banking and reconciliation solutions, tax wrappers and associated regulations
  • Good knowledge of the platform market, competitors, and platform investments
  • The ability to work independently and prioritise your workload effectively by focusing on critical priorities, using time management to meet deadlines, while also having access to a supportive team for collaboration and guidance
  • Keen attention to detail, solving problems creatively
  • Ability to adapt to new challenges and technologies, adjusting strategies to meet evolving goals, with the ability to learn quickly and manage change positively

What’s in it for you?

  • We’re serious about your future and our enhanced pension scheme is now in place. We ask you to contribute 3% of your salary to your pension and we’ll put in 9%. If you decide to contribute more, we’ll match it up to a combined total of 20% of your salary (that’s 7% from you and 13% from us).
  • A discretionary bonus, depending on personal and company performance
  • 34 days leave per year (including bank holidays, pro-rated for part-time)

We also offer private medical cover, life assurance, critical illness cover, enhanced parental leave and a variety of lifestyle benefits to help our employees live their best lives, including retail discount vouchers, cycle2work scheme, subsidised restaurant and online GP appointments.
