Valeo Electric and Electronic Systems Plant in Czechowice-Dziedzice is engaged in the production of starters, air dampers and valves, exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) and innovative electric generators for hybrid vehicles, as well as the regeneration of alternators, starters, dual mass flywheels and compressors for car air-conditioning. Valeo Plant in Czechowice-Dziedzice has its own modern research and development center which provides innovative solutions for car manufacturing.
We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Senior Platform Product Technical Leader to drive the technical development and strategic evolution of our platform products. This role is pivotal in ensuring the technical excellence, robustness, and market competitiveness of our solutions within the automotive electric and electronic systems domain.
Your Challenges:
Lead the technical definition, architecture, and design of complex platform products, ensuring alignment with overall company strategy and customer requirements
Act as the primary technical interface with internal stakeholders (R&D, Project Management, Sales, Manufacturing) and external partners/customers
Oversee and guide technical teams in the execution of platform development projects, providing expert technical direction and problem-solving
Drive innovation and evaluate new technologies, methodologies, and tools to enhance platform capabilities, performance, and efficiency
Ensure the technical quality, reliability, and scalability of platform products throughout their lifecycle, from concept to mass production and maintenance
Develop and maintain technical roadmaps for platform products, anticipating future needs and market trends
Conduct technical reviews, risk assessments, and provide recommendations for technical solutions and strategic decisions
Contribute to the definition of technical specifications, requirements, and validation plans for platform components and systems
Mentor and develop junior technical staff, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement
The ideal candidate will have:
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in technical leadership roles within the automotive or embedded systems industry, specifically related to electronic control units (ECUs), software platforms, or similar complex products
Profound expertise in embedded systems development, real-time operating systems (RTOS), and automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, FlexRay)
Strong understanding of functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262) and cybersecurity principles in automotive applications
Proven track record of successfully leading the technical definition and development of complex platform products from concept to production
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a hands-on approach
Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
Fluent in English (written and spoken); proficiency in German or Polish is a plus
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
