Job Description

There's nothing like a career at Entain. We're a leading, global sports betting and gaming company, delivering the most entertaining experiences, powered by technology, with market-leading player protection built in. In this environment, with our game-plan, and your energy and impact, you'll perform at the height of your potential.

We're a FTSE company with 28,000 passionate people across five continents, known for iconic brands including Ladbrokes, Coral, BetMGM, Eurobet and bwin. Every day we give millions of players unmatched experiences. Whether you're an engineer, marketer or retail specialist, a career here is a complete game changer.

As a Product Manager within Platform Engineering, you will be responsible for defining and executing the vision, strategy, and roadmap for our Internal Developer Platform (IDP), developer experience initiatives, platform automation, and emerging AI capabilities. You will ensure platform investments deliver measurable business value, improve engineering productivity, accelerate software delivery, and provide a scalable foundation for future growth.

Reporting to the Head of Platform Engineering, you will work closely with engineering, architecture, security, product, and operational teams to identify opportunities, prioritise outcomes, and drive adoption of platform capabilities across the organisation. You will act as the bridge between business objectives and technical delivery, ensuring platform engineering efforts remain aligned to organisational goals.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our engineering ecosystem, driving platform strategy, developer experience, cloud native adoption, and Agentic AI capabilities that empower colleagues across Product and Technology.

What You Will Do

  • Define and own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Internal Developer Platform (IDP), ensuring alignment with business and technology objectives.
  • Establish a product operating model for Platform Engineering, balancing engineering enablement, operational excellence, security, and innovation.
  • Partner with engineering teams to identify developer pain points and opportunities to improve productivity, reliability, and delivery speed.
  • Drive the adoption and continuous evolution of self service platform capabilities, including infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, environment management, and developer workflows.
  • Define success metrics and key performance indicators such as deployment frequency, lead time for change, developer satisfaction, platform adoption, service reliability, and operational efficiency.
  • Build and maintain a prioritised platform backlog based on business value, engineering feedback, technical risk, and strategic outcomes.
  • Lead discovery activities, stakeholder engagement, user research, and platform maturity assessments to inform roadmap decisions.
  • Champion developer experience across the organisation, improving onboarding, service creation, documentation, templates, and engineering workflows.
  • Define and drive the strategy for Agentic AI capabilities that accelerate colleagues across Product and Technology through intelligent workflows, automation, decision support, and operational assistance.
  • Work with engineering teams to identify and deliver AI powered opportunities that improve productivity, reduce manual effort, and enhance platform operations.
  • Collaborate with security, architecture, and compliance teams to ensure platform capabilities meet organisational standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop business cases and value frameworks for platform investments, demonstrating measurable return on investment and engineering effectiveness improvements.
  • Communicate platform strategy, roadmap progress, adoption metrics, and outcomes to senior stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies across Platform Engineering, Internal Developer Platforms, Cloud Native technologies, Developer Experience, and AI to inform future platform direction.
  • Foster a product mindset within Platform Engineering, focusing on customer needs, adoption, outcomes, and continuous improvement rather than technology delivery alone.

What Success Looks Like

  • Increased adoption and engagement with platform capabilities across engineering teams.
  • Improved developer experience and measurable reductions in engineering friction.
  • Faster and more reliable software delivery through platform enabled self service.
  • Clear visibility of platform value through engineering productivity and business outcome metrics.
  • Successful delivery and adoption of Agentic AI workflows that create tangible efficiency gains across Product and Technology.
  • A scalable platform strategy that enables future growth while reducing operational complexity.

About Entain

Welcome to Entain.

Our journey as Entain began when we evolved from GVC Holdings on 9th December 2020, but our brands have been paving the way and making history since the 1880s.

Today, we’re one of the world’s largest sports betting and gaming entertainment groups – a FTSE 100 company that is home to more than 25 widely recognised brands, such as bwin, Coral, Foxy, Gala, Ladbrokes and partypoker.

But that’s just the beginning. We’re constantly broadening our horizons and expanding our global influence. For example, our partnership with MGM Resorts International has allowed us to make waves in the US by powering BetMGM with our bespoke and top-of-the-line technology.

It’s with this unique technology that we’re revolutionising our industry, and we’re boldly working towards being THE world leader in sports betting and gaming. Really though, it’s the people that truly make us who we are. There’s over 30,000 of us around the world and counting, but we all play for the same team.

We’re proud to promote a culture that shatters barriers to unite, and encourages uncompromised diversity of background, thought and experience. When we win, we win together.

If you share our values and want to be part of the revolution, we want you on our team. With offices across 19 different countries, we have an excellent history of identifying and nurturing the finest talent on a global scale. We’re all about putting our customers at the heart of the action and, with us, you can help bring moments of excitement into people’s lives.

At Entain, it’s your game. We’re ready to play – are you?
