Ready for your next chapter? We're looking for a Platform Owner – Astrid Platform to join Earselect team in Stockholm!

About Earselect

Earselect is a tech-forward production partner for the modern publishing world and an independent subsidiary of Storytel We bridge the gap between traditional storytelling and cutting-edge technology, specializing in high-quality audio production, AI-driven narration, and global digital distribution.
We are a small team where every person’s input counts. We pride ourselves on being fast, flexible, and always focused on what’s next.

About Astrid

Astrid is our internally developed, proprietary online platform that serves as the heart of our audio production and distribution processes. It is a sophisticated platform that manages everything from scheduling, audio recording, audio editing and AI narration to complex metadata distribution and financial reporting. As we scale our international footprint, Astrid is the engine driving our innovation.

The Role

We are seeking a Platform Owner to act as the 'Orchestrator' for Astrid. You’ll be the crucial bridge between our business stakeholders and our engineering teams, translating commercial needs into a clear technical plan that makes sense for everyone. You won't just be managing a to-do list; your job is to align different perspectives, ensure the platform delivers reliable and scalable value, and keep our small-team agility intact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Platform Lifecycle: Owning the lifecycle of the platform, including enhancements, upgrades, integrations, and decommissioning.

  • Backlog Planning: Take high-level project goals from our internal "Astrid Forum" and break them down into well-defined, actionable technical requirements.

  • Roadmapping: Create and maintain a transparent product roadmap that provides the business with predictable release dates and clear visibility into the "when" and "how" of platform evolution.

  • Stakeholder Partnership: Act as the primary partner for our business leads (Sales, Production, Distribution as well as Clients), helping them define their needs and prioritizing them against the company’s strategic goals.

  • Optimizing Delivery: Ensure the development team has a clear, distraction-free path to execute. You handle the "pre-work" and requirement gathering so the engineers can focus on building world-class technology.

  • Process Ownership: Own the project management tools (Jira) and the release cycle, ensuring every new feature is tested, documented, and successfully rolled out to users.

Who You Are

You are someone who genuinely loves technology and the logic behind a great process. You enjoy the puzzle of taking a complex idea and finding the smartest, most efficient way to build it.

To be successful in this role, we think you have:

  • 3+ years experience in platform management, product ownership, or related roles.

  • The Right Language Skills: Fluent in English (mandatory); Swedish is a strong plus.

  • Jira Expertise: You are highly proficient in Jira and know how to use it to keep a team organized, transparent, and moving forward.

  • Experience with Digital Platforms: You’ve likely worked with SaaS, internal tools, or digital media before. You understand how platforms scale and what makes a user experience work.

  • An Organised Spirit: you are well-versed in Agile or Scrum, but you are flexible enough to adapt those frameworks to fit a small, fast-paced company.

  • A Stakeholder Mindset: You are excellent at managing expectations. You can listen to a business owner's vision, ask the right questions, and translate that into a technical plan everyone believes in.

Experience in one or several of the following would be considered a bonus

  • Development experience - Although not a developer position, we are a small team and the ability to step up would be considered beneficial.

  • Audio production tools, systems and processes

  • Publishing industry experience

  • Distribution system experience
