We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join team Cloud Tools. This is a role for someone who enjoys building and maintaining shared services, talking to users and taking responsibility for quality in production.

Cloud Tools is part of the Enablers department and provides tools and services for CI/CD, source control and artifact management for internal developers. The team’s mission is to make everyday development easier across WirelessCar.

About the Role

You will be a part of a team that develops and operates a mature and stable CI/CD solution. We are moving towards a new phase, and much of the focus will be on delivering source code management where configuration and governance can scale with shifting needs. The roadmap also includes extending the current artifact management to allow for new forms of collaboration.

AWS is central to the technical environment, and the team mainly develops in Go and Python. The team also maintains frontend tooling built with Angular.

Most of Cloud Tools’ users are Java developers, so Java ecosystem experience can help you understand the users’ needs and technical challenges.

The services come with 24/7 production responsibility. Support calls are very rare, but being ready to respond remains part of the role.

Your Impact

As part of Cloud Tools, you will:

• Operate and improve proven and mature CI/CD tooling
• Keep shared services reliable, secure and efficient
• Manage technical lifecycle and reduce unnecessary complexity
• Develop and maintain solutions using a variety of languages and technologies
• Work with GitHub and artifact management
• Talk to users and turn their needs into practical improvements
• Take responsibility for quality, reliability and production
• Help the team make sound decisions during a period of change

What We're Looking For

We are looking for experienced Platform Engineers who

• Enjoys working closely with users and colleagues across the company and communicates clearly and effectively.
• Is confident sharing their perspective, challenging ideas and staying calm when things go wrong.
• Has experience working with shared platforms, tools or services.
• Is curious and enjoys investigating unfamiliar problems and technologies.
• Is comfortable working with AWS.
• Has experience working with CI/CD platforms.
• Has solid programming experience and can work across different languages and codebases, such as Go or Python and similar languages used in backend or platform engineering.
• Has good knowledge of GitHub and understands artifact management.
• Cares about quality and takes ownership beyond individual tasks.
• Enjoys working closely with the team in Gothenburg on a regular basis.

For external candidates, experience from a company-wide enabling or internal platform context is particularly relevant.

It Would Be a Plus if You Have

• Experience with Angular
• Experience with the Java ecosystem
• Interested in or experience in using Kubernetes
• Experience with PostgreSQL
