Job Description
We are a technology company and trading house using data, software, and quantitative models to support market-beating trading strategies and help balance the power grid.
As a Platform Engineer, you will build and improve the tools and infrastructure our Analytics developers use every day. You will work across application code, configuration, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and developer tooling, helping teams build, deploy, and operate software more effectively.
What would you work on:
- Building and improving the platform Analytics developers use every day - developer tooling, service scaffolding, CI/CD, and the integrations that hold it together.
- Bringing Analytics onto our shared Developer Experience platform, supporting teams through the migration, and creating a clear onboarding path for those that follow.
- Owning cloud resources, compute clusters, developer machine setup, and the Infrastructure as Code behind them.
- Improving how permissions, team creation, and access are managed so developers can get set up in minutes instead of waiting for tickets.
- Documenting how the platform fits together: service stack choices, authentication approaches, security basics, and the reasoning behind technical decisions.
- Evaluating AI-assisted development tools through hands-on use, forming a clear opinion, and sharing practical feedback with the people building them.
- Writing new services and tools, contributing to existing ones, fixing configuration, and removing the technical friction slowing developers down.
What makes you a great candidate:
- Experience in Platform Engineering, SRE, or software engineering roles with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, OR equivalent practical experience demonstrating the skills below.
- Practical experience with Python. Kotlin or Java is a bonus.
- Demonstrable experience writing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably with Terraform for controller and automation development.
- A product mindset about developer experience: you notice unnecessary friction and care enough to understand and fix it properly.
- The ability to define, scope, drive, and finish projects rather than leaving features half-done.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to discuss and document technical decisions clearly.
- An affinity for delivering clean, concise, and maintainable code, together with a systematic approach to troubleshooting.
- Genuine enthusiasm for unblocking other teams by onboarding them, supporting them, and championing tools that make them more productive.
- Experience with Kubernetes and CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, developer tooling and command-line tools, identity and access management, infrastructure as code, observability, or internal developer platforms is a plus.
What do we offer?
- Brand new office in the city center – Masarycka.
- Competitive salary package with the possibility of a yearly bonus.
- 25 days of paid holiday.
- Flexible working hours and home-office options.
- High-end workstation.
- Sponsored lunch in the office. Every workday.
- Free snacks at the office.
- Multisport Card – fully paid by the company.
- Colleagues who are absolute experts in what they do.
