This role is part of theMonitoring & PaymentsCrew withinFinancial CrimesIntelligencedomain, where we design and deliver cutting-edge technology solutions that serve data and analytical use-cases within Financial Crimes domain

We are seeking an entrylevel Platform Engineer to join our team and support the build and operation of our data and analytics cloud platforms. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers, get coaching and structured support, and build your skills through handson delivery in a safe, learningfocused environment.

We’re interested in hearing from people who:

  • Support the daytoday operation of our data and analytics platforms(monitoring, basic troubleshooting, and incident support) with guidance from the team

  • Help build and improve automation(scripts, small services, CI/CD improvements) to make platforms easier to use and more reliable

  • Contribute to infrastructure and platform changesin AWS using team patterns (reviews, pairing, and documented standards)

  • Write clear documentation(runbooks, howtos) and keep it up to date as the platform evolves

  • Work collaboratively with engineers, analysts, and security partners to deliver small, incremental improvements and learn securebydefault practices

  • Bring a growth mindset—ask questions, seek feedback, and learn new tools and practices quickly.

Skills Required

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. For this entrylevel role, we’re looking for strong engineering fundamentals, curiosity, and willingness to learn. We value people who can take guidance, apply feedback, and steadily grow their capability over time.

  • Basic understanding of cloud concepts(compute, storage, networking, IAM) and an interest in learning AWS in practice

  • Experience in writing code or automation in at least one language (e.g., Python, Java, Scala)

  • Familiarity with Gitand collaborative development practices (pull requests, code reviews)

  • Exposure to CI/CDconcepts (pipelines, automated testing, deployments) and a willingness to learn the team’s tooling

  • Understanding of reliability basics (monitoring, logging, alerting) and a practical approach to troubleshooting

  • Awareness of secure engineering fundamentals (least privilege, secrets handling, dependency hygiene) and openness to learning security-by-design

  • Clear written and verbal communication, including creating and maintaining documentation (e.g., runbooks, howtos)

Nice to have

  • Exposure to AWS services used for data and integration (e.g., S3, Lambda, Step Functions) or a strong desire to learn them

  • Any experience with data processing concepts and tools (SQL, Spark, EMR, streaming)

  • Experience with containers (Docker) and basic runtime concepts

  • Familiarity with security tooling (e.g., Snyk,Sysdig) or vulnerability management processes

  • Interest in analytics/AI use cases and responsible data/AI practices

  • Working towards an AWS certification (not required)
