Platform Engineer

What You Will Do
- Own major platform initiatives end-to-end, focusing on reliability, scalability, and developer velocity across all backend services.
- Lead technical design for platform-level changes, driving alignment across teams and making pragmatic architectural decisions.
- Build and evolve CI/CD and GitOps workflows to enhance build times, deployment safety, and release visibility.
- Design and operate cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) across AWS for consistency and scalability.
- Drive the adoption of SRE best practices, including defining SLOs and improving incident response.
- Continuously improve developer experience by reducing friction in local development, testing, deployment, and debugging workflows.
Ideal Candidate Background
- Strong generalist engineer with a deep understanding of backend systems, cloud infrastructure, and developer workflows.
- Proven experience owning platform-level or infrastructure initiatives end-to-end.
- Solid knowledge of AWS, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud systems.
- Demonstrated ability to build or improve CI/CD pipelines and observability systems.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Terraform.
Preferred
- Familiarity with observability tools like Datadog.
- Background in reliability engineering and experience defining and measuring SLOs.
- Experience mentoring and raising engineering standards through code reviews.
Compensation and Benefits
The base salary for this position ranges from $160,000 to $210,000, along with equity options, providing a compelling opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing company.
