Job Description


As a Platform DevOps Engineer, You Will:

  • Operate and support XML-driven platforms used for content synchronization and validation.

  • Automate system configuration, deployment processes, and operational workflows within enterprise platform environments.

  • Build and maintain Linux-based packaging and deployment pipelines for XML platform operations.

  • Support and manage cloud infrastructure hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

  • Troubleshoot and resolve platform-level operational issues related to XML processing pipelines and synchronization systems.

  • Contribute to monitoring, stability improvements, operational readiness, and platform reliability initiatives.

  • Collaborate closely with development and DevOps teams to improve automation, scalability, and operational robustness.

  • Ensure stable, secure, and scalable XML platform operations within distributed cloud-native environments.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, operational excellence, and platform reliability.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • 8+ years of experience in XML technologies, DevOps engineering, platform operations, and cloud-based environments.

  • Strong hands-on expertise with XQuery and XPath.

  • Extensive experience working with XML databases such as MarkLogic, BaseX, or eXist-db.

  • Strong understanding of XML data modeling, querying, synchronization, and validation processes.

  • Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible.

  • Strong shell scripting experience using Bash.

  • Hands-on experience creating and managing RPM packages.

  • Practical experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

  • Strong Linux system administration and operational support expertise.

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills related to XML-driven enterprise platforms.

  • Familiarity with Java applications, including runtime behavior, configuration management, and operational support, is highly preferred.

  • Experience working within DevOps and platform operations environments.

You Should Possess the Ability To:

  • Design and support scalable XML platform operations and synchronization solutions.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex XML platform and infrastructure issues efficiently.

  • Automate deployment, packaging, monitoring, and operational workflows within cloud-native environments.

  • Collaborate effectively with engineering, DevOps, and operations teams.

  • Ensure reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency of enterprise XML platforms.

  • Manage operational support activities, deployments, and release processes with minimal disruption.

  • Work independently while contributing effectively within distributed technical teams.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, monitoring, and operational excellence.
