The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes. IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.

Scope of Position:

Support ERP transformation program management strategy planning, program management office execution and follow-ups, and also cross functional program alignment.

Partnership with IT solution architect, factory team, ERP Transformation change management lead, business power users and value stream lead, as well as related function leads to facilitate ERP transformation deployment projects from initiation through delivery with assigned work stream and functional lead responsibility. Focus on delivery standard platform capability to business users, ensuing adoption from business to understand how to operation with future platform and enable required capability through working close to GT team.

Ensure quality platform solution deployment through design, testing, validation and migration protocol and knowledge transfer to operational receiver.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to step into ERP deployment project to work with IT and business counterpart as liaison to trace and track project work items progress.
  • Lead workstream/cross stream communication to ensure risk management assessment are conduct regularly and mitigate plans identified to get program management office attention and support.
  • Lead/participate Process, Security, Data, and Reporting requirement management session, also acting to manage as assigned testing, training, data migration and cut-over lead which partnership with Change Management stream meetings to ensure proper address concerns and mitigate risk impacts.
  • Lead/Participate business early engagement and business readiness phase with business and IT to bringing global template knowledge to gather business requirement, business cases and early identify potential gaps to address through standardization board review and build in for project delivery.

Required Education:

  • Master degrees with business management, industrial engineering, computer science with proper program management training / certifications are preferred

Required Years and Area of Experience:

  • Min 6 years of SAP functional or business consultant experience to work in large-scale project and dynamic environment to lead and deliver global template solution
  • Desire 12 years of SAP functional or business consultant experience to work in large-scale project and dynamic environment to lead and deliver global template solution
  • 5 years above business, supply chain, functional experience and/or business transformation experience and/or SAP business/functional consultant experience.

Required Skills:

  • Hard skills on SAP functional area as consulting skills
  • Soft skills on project management as communication, schedule and scope management and risk managements.
  • Cross functional communication experience
  • Planview / Microsoft Projects or similar project management tools experience
  • Fluent Mandarin and Chinese reading/writing
  • English: able to communicate in both listening/speaking and reading/writing

Desired Experience / Qualifications / Skills:

  • SAP certification
  • Project Management certification
  • Business analysis or supply chain management related certification

Soft Skills:

  • Culture change agent
  • Cross functional communications
  • SAP change agent
