Qualifications

We are currently seeking a Plate Technician to join our 2nd shift team. In this role, you will provide support to the presses, preparing and staging required plates and screens for each job following standard procedures.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for pulling, filing and demounting plates
  • Responsible for spinning and cutting plates
  • Operate digital imagers for plates & screens
  • Observe and follow safety policies and proactively correct safety issues
  • Train to provide backup for others in the department
  • Work a rotation of job functions when deemed necessary by department lead
  • Prepare records and reports and enter data accurately on jobs produced to support department
  • Keep work area clean and organized at all times
  • Participate in all company efforts to apply 5S and Lean Techniques to support department goals, attends all safety meetings and observes & follows all safety polices & procedures.

Education and/or Experience
High School diploma or GED; AA in Graphic Arts or exposure to the printing industry or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Knowledge and Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Exhibits data accuracy data entry, good visual acuity. Ability to speak effectively and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.
