Job Description

We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced Plate Saw Operators/ Band Saw Operators to join our client's team based out of Montreal, QC. You'll be part of a talented group that collaborates to deliver world-class products to our customers. This role will be in a production environment with stable work force ensuring optimal production.

The candidate must be mechanically inclined with experience in using Vernier Calipers, Micrometer, Band Saw, Plate Saw.

A variety of these traits will help land you this job if you have:

• high school diploma or GED
• technical or Trade School diploma
• worked in a manufacturing environment for 2-5 years
• worked in a fast-paced mid-size company

Requirements:

• must have background and education in trades or mechanical.
• ability to read blueprints, and use vernier caliper, micrometer, inch tape etc
• have basic computer skills and aptitude
• be self-motivated, a fast learner, and show initiative to seek out customer and corporate needs
• experience in operating Band Saw, plate saw, hand tools, and power tools
• apply effective time management and self-management skills
• understand and maintain the confidential nature of the company, employee and customer information

In this position, you will:

• configure the saw machine by entering instructions
• load machine with workpieces
• verify settings by measuring the positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces
• maintain specifications by observing operations, detecting malfunctions and troubleshooting processes
• perform Quality Control (QC) procedures to meet company standards
