At our Reynosa plant in Mexico, we are committed to the highest standards in the production of disposable medical products for dialysis treatments. With a dedicated team of more than 3,000 employees across four manufacturing sites, the plant focuses on manufacturing essential components such as hemodialysis disposables, peritoneal dialysis (PD) disposables, hemodialysis (HD) machines, and PD cycler machines.

As a Plastics Equipment Engineer I, you will provide technical and operational support to the Plastics Maintenance area, ensuring proper functionality, reliability, and availability of injection molding machines and related equipment. The role focuses on executing preventive and corrective maintenance, supporting engineering and validation activities, and minimizing downtime through effective spare parts management and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the installation and maintenance of equipment is suitable, taking in account the basic principles of electricity and pneumatic for the correct functioning of machines and equipment in the Plastics area in conformity to the established procedures.
  • Responsible of keeping equipment in original condition, ensuring that preventive maintenance is correctly executed and notify when it is needed to acquire spare parts and tools to avoid non-programmed shutdowns.
  • To give support and coordinate the activities related to validation of new processes, machines, engineering projects, etc.
  • Solution and analysis of problems
  • Maintain work orders fully filled in and keep a live record to avoid recurrences of failures.
  • Monitor the use of resin and re-pelletized in Plastics area, ensuring to keep the waste levels lows.
  • Ensure the shift production requirements are met, conforming to the schedule and program, that all production is done in accordance to the quality standards with strict adherence to the established procedures of the company, and good manufacturing practices.
  • In charge of the shift in which carries out duties.

Qualifications:

  • Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • 3 to 5 years of experience with hydraulic and electric injection machines, doing corrective and preventive maintenance and control through software.
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish).
  • Basic knowledge of PLC.
  • Knowledge and experience in low and medium tension electricity (110, 220, and 480), as well as the installation of new equipment.
  • Knowledge and experience with electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic controls, as well as the interpretation of diagrams.
  • Helpful and respectful attitude.
  • Computer skills; Excel, Power Point, Word, E-mail.
  • Experience in using equipment to solve electrical failures.
  • Interpretation of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic diagrams.
  • Knowledge of sensor management, control modules for pump engines.
