
The Advanced Certified Surgical Technologist provides specialized surgical support for plastic and reconstructive procedures by preparing and maintaining sterile fields, managing delicate instruments and microsurgical equipment, and anticipating surgeon needs during complex cases. This role assists with grafting, flap procedures, tissue handling, and aesthetic techniques while ensuring precise instrumentation and optimal operative flow. The ACST serves as a clinical resource to the surgical team, supports specialty supply and equipment management, and may assist with staff training. This position promotes optimal surgical outcomes through strict adherence to sterile technique, patient safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
