The Plant Supplier Quality Engineer and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Leader has primary oversight of both purchased material quality and plant ESD process control and execution. This position is responsible for driving both short and long-term efforts focused on cost of quality reduction as well as overall plant success in safety, delivery and cost.

Minimum Requirements:
● Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related discipline or equivalent, technical experience.
● 5+ years’ experience with manufacturing quality/quality improvement projects and/or process improvement in a fast-paced, high volume manufacturing environment or equivalent military experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
● Prior experience with Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) application or theory development strongly preferred.
● Demonstrated ability to take ownership of technical, cross-functional program deliverables and ability to drive decisions based on the overall benefit to the company.
● Good organizational, project management and presentation skills to interact with all levels within the organization and with suppliers and vendors.
● Possess strong communication skills – will be expected to provide program report outs to cross-functional team.
● Related experience in multi-stage material processing
● Experience interpreting data to solve problems associated with high volume, short cycle manufacturing of consumer products.
● Experience in development or sustainment of data collection and measurement systems.
● Ability to work within large cross-functional teams and at multiple levels in the organization (both salaried and shop floor operators / skilled trades team members).
● Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.
● Computer literate and skilled in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, Minitab and Outlook.
● Experience working with external suppliers.
● Excellent communication skills.
Working Conditions:
● This position will be in Louisville, KY.
● This role requires occasional lifting to 20 pounds and frequent walking.
● Working conditions are normal for a high-volume manufacturing environment and may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe boots.
● Primary work schedule is the 1st shift. However, support during weekends, 2nd and/or 3rd shift may be required depending on business needs.
● Travel (up to 10%) to suppliers and other manufacturing locations as needed.
