Job Description
On site personnel responsible to perform specialised electrical, electronic and mechanical work and investigations on the Plants with special focus on inverters.
To perform modification, repair and maintenance of electrical, electronic and mechanical equipment and systems as well as switching, isolation, earthing and LOTO duties as per authorization level when required.
To provide training and supervision to personnel.
GENERIC RESPONSABILITIES
- Perform specialised technical duties on Plants
- Ensure optimal performance of electrical, electronic and mechanical equipment and systems.
- Inverter specialist for all the Plants
- Perform work in the modification, repair and maintenance of electrical, electronic and mechanical equipment and systems
- Perform investigations into the modification, repair and maintenance of electrical, electronic and mechanical equipment and systems
- Assist senior O&M Engineer with investigations
- Asist with project management as required with respect to improvement of Plant equipment
- Lead plant level investigations into events/incidents and equipment with abnormal conditions
Assist electrical, electronic and mechanical work on the Plants
- Asist with the performance of work in the modification, repair and maintenance of electrical, electronic and mechanical equipment and systems
- Perform switching, isolation, earthing and LOTO duties as per Authorisation level
- Asist with the performance Preventative and Corrective Maintenance tasks
- Ensure inverter availability and perform troubleshooting
- Provide LV and HV switching as per Authorisation level
- Control and perform monthly electrical equipment and tools inspections
- Perform functions of Authorised Person and Responsible Person as per Plant requirements
Perform general and ad hoc duties
- Compile engineering and specialised reports
- Report on Plant performance
- Perform various HSE related inspections
- Report to line manager and perform Appointed Person on Duty (APD) functions when required
- Act as CMMS specialist/coordinator
- Perform general work as required on site
- Perform human resources tasks as required
QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
- Education: Diploma in Electrical or Power Engineering
- Experience: No experience required. Ideal to have some Solar experience.
- Language: fluent both written and spoken in English and local country language.
