Plant Supervisor – Ashbourne

Lead Operations. Drive Quality. Keep Production Moving.

Are you an experienced Plant Supervisor looking for your next challenge? We’re looking for a proactive, safety-focused individual to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Ashbourne plant, ensuring the efficient production of high-quality concrete and mortar while maintaining exceptional safety and environmental standards.

What You’ll Be Doing

As Plant Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in keeping our operation running safely, efficiently, and productively. Responsibilities include:

Operational Leadership

  • Liaising with the Order Office, plant staff, and customers to ensure production meets customer requirements

  • Managing the efficient operation of the batching plant and FEL

  • Accurately batching concrete/mortar in line with company procedures

  • Ensuring optimum plant output, quality, and service standards

  • Monitoring plant utilisation and continuously improving working methods

Maintenance & Site Standards

  • Carrying out routine plant inspections and maintenance checks

  • Reporting and recording defects, issues, or potential hazards

  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the plant, buildings, and equipment

  • Ensuring the site presentation meets company standards at all times

Stock & Materials Management

  • Ensuring sufficient approved materials are always available for production

  • Conducting regular stock inspections and weekly visual stock checks

  • Verifying monthly stock levels with management

Health, Safety & Environment

  • Ensuring all employees, contractors, and visitors follow site safety procedures

  • Complying with Health & Safety at Work legislation and company policies

  • Managing waste disposal, dust emissions, and water discharge in line with environmental procedures

  • Promoting a strong safety-first culture across the site

Compliance & Quality

  • Following company procedures relating to quality control, fraud prevention, and operational compliance

  • Supporting continuous improvement and operational excellence

  • Attending training and keeping knowledge up to date

What We’re Looking For

We’d love to hear from candidates who have:

  • Previous experience in a plant, production, quarry, concrete, or manufacturing environment

  • Strong understanding of health & safety procedures

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • A hands-on, proactive attitude

  • The ability to work independently and lead by example

  • Experience operating batching plants or mobile plant/FEL equipment (advantageous)

  • Maintenance or mechanical awareness would be beneficial
