SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Plant Superintendent to lead night shift operations in our window manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for overseeing production, safety, quality, staffing, and overall operational performance during the assigned shift.

The Plant Superintendent will work closely with supervisors and department leaders to ensure production goals are met while maintaining a safe and positive work environment.

What To Expect:

  • Lead and support night shift production operations across assigned departments
  • Ensure all safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards are followed
  • Monitor production schedules and drive performance to meet daily goals
  • Coach, mentor, and develop supervisors and hourly team members
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained and production issues are addressed promptly
  • Partner with maintenance and quality teams to minimize downtime and improve efficiency
  • Conduct shift meetings and communicate plant priorities and expectations
  • Monitor attendance, staffing levels, and labor utilization
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence efforts
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Complete production reports and communicate shift updates to plant leadership

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing leadership experience required
  • Prior experience in window, glass, or similar manufacturing environment preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead in a fast-paced production environment
  • Experience in managing supervisors and large employee groups
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and manufacturing best practices
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and production reporting systems

Work Environment:

The atmosphere is that of a manufacturing plant. The position will primarily work where moving machinery produces noise. Employees must wear Personal Protective Equipment that is issued for that location. Temperature can range from extreme cold to extreme heat. Physical fitness to include movements, positioning, remaining stationary which include standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, climbing, pushing/pulling, forward bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching, squatting, crawling, postural balancing, manipulating, trunk rotation, handling, gripping, and talking (hearing). Frequent use of company communication devices are required such as a computer, phone, and other office electronics.
