Plant Specialist
Minnkota Power is seeking qualified candidates for a Plant Specialist with an Associate of Science in an applicable field although other education will be considered, at the Milton R. Young Station located near Center, ND. The Milton R. Young Station is a two-unit coal-fired power plant, providing a stable energy source for our cooperative member-owners. The station is located 35 miles from Bismarck, North Dakota, a growing and progressive city with many recreational opportunities.
A degree in a technical field is preferred but not required. Relevant education, training, and practical experience will also be considered. Candidates at all experience levels are encouraged to apply. Previous industrial experience with boiler systems, maintenance, inspection, and repair activities is required. Experience coordinating or supporting boiler outage work, including pressure-part repairs, welding, inspection/NDE activities, and contractor coordination, is preferred.
The salary range for Plant Specialist I begins at $74,130 per year; Plant Specialist II salary range begins at $95,226; Plant Specialist III salary range begins at $106,594; Plant Specialist IV salary range beings at $119,579; and Senior Plant Specialist salary range begins at $133,647. Appropriate pay will be determined based on candidate's skills, education, and previous relevant experience.
