Plant Purchasing Manager
PURPOSE
The Plant Purchasing Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with Imerys' purchasing and supply process in collaboration with site operations, buyers and the prochub (Imerys' shared supply service based in Greece).
He/she contributes to the operational monitoring of suppliers and their services.
He/She will in charge of creating and deploying strategy at local level
He/she is required to manage tenders and negotiate according to Imerys' organizational rules and purchasing policy.

Order volume: 5000 orders per year
Spend on Purchases: 50 million euros
Number of suppliers: 930
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Compliance with Purchasing Policy:
Ensure full compliance with the general purchasing procedure and supplier selection guidelines
In collaboration with the local procurer and the Procurement Hub, assist in change management and the implementation of good purchasing practices (P-Cards, on-time orders, PR, PO, GR, SI processes)...
Compliance with the S2P process:
Be the Purchasing Manager for local opex / capex purchase
Manage the RFQs, lead negotiations, contract with suppliers and manage their performance. Main categories: Industrial equipment and services (maintenance), indirect, mining and laboratory studies.
Establish agreements with recurring suppliers
Meet stakeholder's needs and in compliance with Imerys' purchasing policy, consolidate and challenge the requirements
Ensure the proper application of contracts negotiated by the Category Purchasing department
Ensure that contracts are properly communicated to internal clients and that they are used correctly.
Supplier monitoring:
Responsible of the purchase contracts for local purchase opex / capex
Sourcing new suppliers and negotiating contracts
Propose and manage regional or national purchasing synergies | Streamlining of the site's supplier panel
Organize regular business reviews with local suppliers
Monitoring suppliers ‘performance, KPIs (QCDs)
Monitor the non-conformity handling process, the action plans implemented by suppliers, and the annual supplier performance evaluation.
Ensure the state of the art
Gathering the local purchasing requirements: anticipate, collect and optimize the sites requirements in terms of quantity and specifications
Be the single point of contact to the plants and the technical centers, ensure a state of the art service level on purchasing topics for our internal stakeholders.
Meet stakeholder's needs and in compliance with Imerys' purchasing policy, consolidate and challenge the requirements
Ensure internal customer satisfaction with the performance of the purchasing team.
Reporting and analysis, collect and report the sites financial performance including tracking of target savings
Support:
Be the guarantor of the continuous improvement of the purchasing process.
Assist site users in resolving issues related to the tools in the procurement and purchasing section (SAP and Ivalua)
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education and Experience requirements
Bac +5, specialized in purchasing.
Minimum of 2 years experience in industrial purchase
Languages: French, English
Ability to promote best purchasing and procurement practices
Ability and willingness to understand the technical elements of the categories
Strong negotiation and communication skills both internally and externally
Knowledge, skills, Imerys Leadership Behaviors
