In this role, you'll:

Working as part of the Road Maintenance & Resilience team, you will operate a small range of simple plant items to support road infrastructure's efficient construction and maintenance. This position also undertakes a range of Road Worker Grade 3 duties when required.

You will perform routine and complex labouring/ manual tasks, including the safe operation of a range of small plant and powered and non-powered hand tools. Plant used is often required to be driven.

This role will also see you tracking defects in our assets management system.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have the following:

  • Applicant must reside within 100kms of Goolgowi
  • Sound ability in a Road Worker Grade 3 role or industry equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability in using literacy and numeracy skills to complete work records and effectively communicate with work team Essential requirements
  • Experience in civil construction, or Certificate III in Civil Construction or equivalent qualification and a current Construction Industry White Card.
  • Traffic Controller Card – Implement Traffic Control Plan, or ability to gain within 3 months of employment
  • Traffic Controller Card – Prepare Work Zone, or ability to gain within 3 months of employment.
  • Current Australian motor vehicle driver licence (Class C); minimum requirement: Provisional P1.
  • Willingness to undertake any legislated or internal licensing or ticketing requirements as directed.
