Job Description

Boral's Recycling business at Emu Plains provides one of the region's most accessible sources of quality recycled construction materials and Fine Sand products.

We are currently seeking a motivated Plant Operator to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will play a key role in the safe and efficient operation of both mobile and fixed plant equipment while contributing to the day-to-day success of the site.

Your Day Will Involve:

  • Safely operating mobile plant and equipment, including loaders, articulated dump trucks, excavators and water carts
  • Operating fixed plant, including the Wash Plant and Pug Mill
  • Performing basic maintenance and housekeeping activities
  • Participating in site safety initiatives, pre-start meetings, toolbox talks and incident reporting
  • Supporting continuous improvement activities and problem-solving initiatives
  • Working collaboratively with the site team to achieve production and safety targets

What Are We Looking For?

  • Experience operating mobile plant equipment, including loaders, articulated dump trucks, excavators, water carts and/or pug mills
  • VOC or relevant plant operating licences are advantageous but not essential
  • Previous quarry, recycling, extractive industries or heavy industrial experience highly regarded
  • Strong commitment to workplace health, safety and environmental standards
  • Reliable, self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Availability to work Monday to Saturday as required
