In this full-time seasonal position as a terminal operator, your duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to power engineering, operations, and general labour duties as per the instructions of the Facility Manager at the Ashcroft McAsphalt Terminal. You will follow all standard operating procedures and policies established by the McAsphalt Operations department. Preference will be given to those with valid 4th or 5th class Power Engineer certificate.

• Operating Boilers/ Heaters
• Manufacturing/ blending asphaltic products.
• Loading/ offloading tanker trucks and railcars.
• Performing preventative maintenance and completing daily logs/ inspections.
• Other general labour duties as assigned by the Facility Manager.
Shifts will vary weekly with rotations between days, evenings, and some nights. You may be required to work on different work schedules including weekends and be available to work overtime as needs require.
• Minimum High School or College Diploma
• 4th or 5th Class Power Engineering Certificate.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, being responsible, resourceful, and autonomous.
• A strong work ethic and ability to work in small teams.
• A reliable method of transportation to and from work in a timely manner.

• Ability to work outdoors at heights and in all weather environments.
• Knowledge in pumps, piping, heat tracing, hot oil heaters will be considered an asset.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation communications in English with a strong interpersonal attitude.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel with strong organizational skills.
• Lastly, a good sense of humor would be great!
