At Alpheus (a wholly owned part of the Anglian Water Group) we offer commercial and industrial customers a comprehensive range of specialist water & wastewater asset management services and process solutions, tailored to meet their needs. 

Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager you are responsible for the successful delivery of operational tasks associated with the management of a large wastewater treatment facility on a prestigious customer site. Your role will support the achievement of regulatory, financial, environmental and customer performance targets associated with the contract.

The key purpose of this role is to:

· Ensure the plant is fully monitored and controlled. Proactively owing and completing routine operations, sampling, cleaning, proactive data trending, monitoring, and reporting.

· Work in a safe efficient manner at all times.

· Working within a small onsite team and with the wider Alpheus technical and management teams to help produce daily and monthly reports as required.

· One of your key objectives will be to build excellent customer relationships, ensuring excellent value and benefit is delivered to our client

· Work closely with your team colleagues and our technical and management teams, sharing responsibility for the continued development and optimisation of the facility

· Work closely with the customer’s mechanical and electrical team, and other contractors, to ensure the plant is well maintained and available at all times

What does it take to be a Plant Operator?

· Excellent wastewater treatment knowledge

· Excellent H&S knowledge

· Good computer literacy skills to record process data, generate site reports, and monitor SCADA systems

· Good knowledge of key aspects of environmental legislation.

· DAF and membrane knowledge and experience would be an advantage
