Corteva Agriscience™ presents an exciting opportunity for a Plant Nutrition Expert based in Cremona, Italy.

Reporting to Seed Marketing Manager, the Plant Nutrition Expert is the Country nutrition expert for a wide range of arable crops and for the connected product lines such as, but not limited to, biostimulants, nutritionals and fertilizers. Identifies and interprets the technical needs of end users, influencers and channel partners for products and products programs. The Plant Nutrition Expert translates these needs into questions to be answered by projects/trials and leads the biostimulants, nutritionals and fertilizers technical positioning and inputs at project level. Therefore he/she plays a central role in new product launches, ensuring strong technical support and effective knowledge transfer to sales team and key stakeholders.

As support to the sales team, the Plant Nutrition Expert helps synthetize the technical information and turns it into a marketing and commercial program, helping the teams to develop an efficient commercial approach.

Main tasks:

Market intelligence

  • Liaise with channel partners, end users, officials, and other influencers to collect and interpret technical needs for crops, products, and programs.
  • Understand the market needs and define a product concept guideline
  • Analyze competitive environment
  • Analyze, interpret and share data and results with Sales&Marketing teams

Portfolio management

  • Be responsible for Nutritional portfolio management
  • Understanding product characteristics and performance across different environments, crops and agronomic management
  • Provide internal and external technical support in the development and application of products and resolution of problems in Plant nutrition
  • Coordination with Marketing and Sales Manager for defining the commercial campaign

Projects definition and technical transfer

  • Leveraging the Agrolab support, develop and follow new innovative internal projects or in collaboration with external partners focused on Plant Nutrition, nutrition efficiency and sustainability projects
  • Train sales force, distributors, customers and other stakeholders on Plant Nutrition topics, through training sessions and direct visits to farmers
  • Manage data coming from the lab for preparing reports and presentation on nutrition topics
  • Provide marketing/technical advice and guidance (training information, presentations, public speeches), to the sales force and to stakeholders

To Grow What Matters, You Will Need

  • Degree: Agricultural Sciences or related field.
  • Other valuable requirements: PhD, MSc, solid agronomic background on Plant Nutrition, Soil Science, Plant Physiology and Biostimulation.
  • Previous solid experience with an agricultural Company or University
  • Attitude to project Management, good understanding of commercial competitive environment.
  • Ability in conceiving, coordinating, executing, summarizing and reporting results
  • Ability to assimilate large amounts of technical information and to condense it into useable and understandable form.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office package and informatic skills
  • Ability to work in team
  • Good coaching and training capabilities
  • Good communication skills with different types of audiences
  • Languages: fluency in English.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Italy
