What will you be doing as a Plant Manager - Martfu

The core focus of this role is the overall site management in Martfu (oilseed processing, refining, bottling and SUNPRO) facility.

This should be completed through the following activities:

Responsibilities:

• Leading plant operations to maximize asset performance, efficiency and throughput while maintaining cost control and operational excellence.
• Developing and implementing strategic plans, budgets and capital expenditure initiatives to support long‑term growth and productivity.
• Provide leadership to ensure the Quality, Food and Feed Safety policies, standards, and procedures are followed to ensure everyday audit readiness and to deliver safe and high-quality products that meet customer and regulatory requirements
• Driving a strong safety, quality and environmental culture by ensuring compliance, preventing incidents and delivering safe and high‑quality products
• Building and developing a high‑performing management team while fostering employee engagement, capability development and continuous improvement culture.
• Monitoring operational and financial performance through KPIs and taking corrective actions to achieve targets.
• Nurture a plant working environment that encourages employee involvement in the consistent improvement of plant processes
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, managing external relationships and protecting company assets through effective risk management controls.

What you can bring to the role:

• Master’s degree in engineering or other technical field (Project Management, Continuous Improvement within production area); MBA is a plus
• 10+ years of experience, including 5+ years in plant management (preferably in soft seed/edible oil industry) or other management role in a multinational company
• Experience in unionized environments preferred
• Strong leadership, analytical, organizational and problem‑solving skills
• Proven ability to engage and motivate diverse teams across functions, combining both strategic and operational mindset
• Fluent in both Hungarian and English languages
• Excellent communication skills at all organizational levels
• Proficiency in MS Office; SAP knowledge preferred; strong business and financial acumen
• Self‑driven with high initiative and strong prioritization skills
