As part of the development and transformation of our industrial activities within the Home & LVT BU, we are looking for a Plant Manager to take responsibility for our industrial site based in Konz, Germany
The Konz site plays an important role in the Group’s European industrial organization Specialized in the manufacture of residential vinyl flooring, particularly in rolls, the site operates in a demanding industrial environment focused on process efficiency, operational performance, product quality and continuous improvement
In this context, your mission will be to manage the overall performance of the site, sustainably strengthen its industrial competitiveness and support its transformation As a true field leader, you will unite the teams around a clear vision, a strong safety culture and a collective performance mindset
Reporting to the VP Home & LVT BU, you will be member of the BU Home & LVT BU Leadership Team.
Your responsibilities
You will take overall responsibility for the Konz site and manage all activities: production, logistics, technical services, quality, HSE, human resources, controlling and purchasing
Site leadership and transformation
Define and deploy a clear industrial vision, in line with the priorities of the division and the Group.
Lead the industrial, organizational and managerial transformation of the site.
Unite the teams around a new dynamic of performance, accountability and continuous improvement
Lead the site management team, set priorities, monitor action plans and conduct performance reviews
Ensure regular, transparent and structured communication with the teams, the division and the Group.
Operational excellence and industrial performance
Ensure the achievement of the site’s objectives in terms of safety, quality, costs, lead times, productivity, customer service and environment
Monitor and challenge site performance through key KPIs: CPM, OEE, budget, quality, delivery, safety and productivity
Lead continuous improvement initiatives: WCM, Lean, safety, cost reduction, process reliability and flow optimization
Sustainably improve the efficiency, stability and competitiveness of production and logistics processes.
Contribute to the SIOP process in coordination with the division and Supply Chain teams.
Financial management, budget and investments
Take responsibility for the site’s economic performance costs, productivity, budget, results and competitiveness.
Manage the site budget, monthly and annual closings, in coordination with controlling.
Prioritize and monitor industrial investments, particularly CAPEX projects
Ensure the optimal use of the site’s human, technical and financial resources
Health, safety, environment, quality and compliance
Embody and promote a strong and sustainable safety culture across the entire site.
Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and internal requirements in terms of safety, environment, quality, compliance and ethics
Ensure that the site complies with Group standards, customer requirements and applicable regulations
Manage internal, external, customer or authority audits, and ensure the implementation of the related action plans.
Management, social dialogue and talent development
Lead, develop and empower the site management team
Adapt the site organization to meet performance, transformation and competitiveness challenges
Ensure constructive social dialogue with employee representative bodies.
Develop skills, leadership and succession plans within the site.
Foster employee engagement and maintain a social climate that supports transformation.
Site representation and management of critical situations
Represent the site with internal and external stakeholders: division, Group, customers, authorities, social partners and local stakeholders
Ensure clear communication on the progress of objectives, projects, indicators and action plans
Act as an escalation point for critical operational, social or strategic matters.
Manage exceptional situations while ensuring business continuity and appropriate decision-making.
Your qualifications and skills
You hold a higher education degree in engineering, industrial production, supply chain or equivalent, and have confirmed experience as a Plant Manager, Site Director or Operations Director
You have worked in a demanding industrial environment, ideally in continuous processes, materials, flooring or an industry with strong safety, quality, cost and productivity challenges
As a field-oriented leader, you know how to unite teams, empower managers and support a site through a transformation journey
You have demonstrated your ability to sustainably improve industrial performance: safety, productivity, quality, costs, lead times, social climate and employee engagement
You have a strong culture of operational excellence Lean, WCM, continuous improvement, KPI management, budget management and CAPEX projects
Comfortable in an international and matrix environment, you know how to communicate with impact and maintain constructive social dialogue
Fluency in German and English is required. French would be an asset
