Job Description

The Plant Manager – Piece Dye is responsible for leading all operations within the dyeing and finishing facility, ensuring that fabrics are produced on time, at the right quality, and aligned with approved standards. This role is critical in eliminating reactive production practices and ensuring that bulk production follows properly approved pre-production standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee dyeing, finishing, scheduling, and maintenance operations.
  • Ensure production aligns with approved lab dips and pre-production standards and deliver on-time production with consistent quality.
  • Partner with Development to ensure pre-production reflects bulk reality and ensure production follows defined SOPs
  • Lead capacity planning and scheduling to optimize machine utilization and reduce downtime. Drive cost control and waste reduction
  • Work closely with Product Development, Sales, and Quality to escalate risks early (delays, color inconsistencies, technical issues) and align plant priorities with customer deadlines
  • Build and lead strong plant teams. Develop supervisors and technical staff. Foster accountability and ownership

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in textile manufacturing, specifically in piece dye operations
  • Proven experience managing dyeing and finishing plants
  • Strong technical knowledge of dyeing processes, color matching, and fabric finishing
  • Demonstrated leadership in a manufacturing environment
  • Fluent in Spanish (required); English proficiency preferred
  • Strong process-oriented mindset with experience in SOP enforcement and operational discipline
