The Industrial Technician III is responsible for coordinating maintenance operations across multiple processing facilities. This position requires extensive expertise in industrial machinery, automation systems, and facility maintenance. The specialist manages complex projects and drives continuous improvement in maintenance practices and equipment performance.

Essential Job Functions

  • Coordinate daily maintenance operations across multiple processing facilities
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and repairs on complex industrial machinery and systems
  • Develop and implement comprehensive preventative maintenance programs
  • Manage capital projects, equipment upgrades, and new installations
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior technicians
  • Analyze and optimize equipment performance using advanced diagnostic tools
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for all systems and procedures
  • Collaborate with management to improve maintenance strategies and reduce downtime
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, food safety standards, and USDA requirements
  • Manage relationships with vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance needs
  • Lead root cause analysis for critical equipment failures and implement corrective actions
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in industrial maintenance
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Expertise in PLC programming, automation systems, and industrial software
  • Strong project management and team leadership skills
  • In-depth understanding of OSHA regulations and food safety standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Knowledge of energy management and sustainability practices in industrial settings

Work Environment:

This position involves hands-on technical work and troubleshooting. The role requires the ability to work in various environments, including production floors, mechanical rooms, and offices. Some travel between facilities may be necessary. The Technician must be comfortable working around heavy machinery, at heights, and in confined spaces. The position may involve on-call duties for emergency situations and requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, or holidays as needed. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various climate conditions.
