About the Role

As the Plant Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing activities and staff in the management of the efficient maintenance of equipment at WM's newest Material Recover Facility (MRF) in Edmonton, AB.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead a team of maintenance technicians, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Ensures that equipment is repaired and returned to service in a safe and timely manner.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and upgrades.
  • Maintain CMMS data, parts inventory, and maintenance records.
  • Support startup and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Train and develop team members to build a culture of accountability, safety and high performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible for planning, budgeting, staffing, discipline, and implementation of all maintenance initiatives and programs.
  • Promotes a safe work environment in compliance with Corporate and OHSA requirements.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (High School/GED + 4 years).
  • 7+ years of maintenance experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory/leadership role.
  • Experience in industrial or manufacturing settings (waste/recycling is a plus)
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems; especially related to conveyors, screens and optical sorters.
  • Red Seal, Millwright, or similar trade certification preferred.

The expected base pay range for this on-site position in Edmonton, AB is $105,000 - $120,000. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for bonus. This is position is for an existing vacancy.
