Job Description

Our award-winning client is seeking a Plant Maintenance Manager to join their team. The Plant Maintenance Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our Dyersburg manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of plant maintenance, including preventative maintenance, equipment repair, and project management, while adhering to strict food safety, quality, and safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, technical, and problem-solving skills, along with a proven track record of success in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

Equipment Maintenance: Oversee all aspects of equipment maintenance, including preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and emergency repairs.

Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians, including scheduling, performance reviews, and professional development.

Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations (OSHA), food safety standards (HACCP, IFS), and environmental regulations (ISO-14001).

Project Management: Plan, execute, and oversee maintenance projects, including equipment upgrades, installations, and modifications.

Budget Management: Develop and manage the maintenance department budget, including spare parts inventory, maintenance contracts, and capital expenditures.

Continuous Improvement: Continuously identify and implement opportunities to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and enhance overall plant efficiency.

Technical Expertise: Possess in-depth knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems, including PLCs, VFDs, hydraulics, and compressed air systems.

Quality Assurance: Ensure that all maintenance activities are performed to the highest quality standards and meet all production requirements.

Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with production, engineering, and other departments to address maintenance needs and improve overall plant performance.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience with a Business Management degree.

Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a Maintenance or Engineering management role within a food manufacturing environment.

Proven experience with Krones, VDB equipment, and/or fillers, cappers, tray packers, and labelers is a significant plus.

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) and ERP/MMS systems.

Experience with PLC programming, VFDs, and other industrial automation systems.

Knowledge of OSHA regulations, HACCP, IFS, and ISO-14001 standards.

Boiler certification is preferred.
