We have an exciting opportunity for a Plant Lead to join our Manufacturing team at our Dandenong South site. If you are a passionate operational leader with a proven track record in driving manufacturing excellence, continuous improvement, and building high-performing teams, then this opportunity could be for you.

As a senior leader within our Dandenong site, you will be responsible for leading, coaching and developing multi-functional teams to deliver against our site plan and Growth agenda. You will drive continuous improvement and Best Practice progression across Quality, Cost, Waste, Delivery, Safety, Environment and People engagement. Your focus will be on establishing an agile and synchronised facility, embedding Manufacturing Excellence (IL6S) tools and methodologies, and progressing the site towards becoming a High-Performance Organisation.

How you will contribute

You will:

  • Developing and implementing a 3-year strategic plan and annual operating plan to enable safe, reliable, flexible and cost-efficient manufacturing
  • Partnering with multi-functional leads to define and meet Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability and Engagement goals
  • Leading End-to-End Cost and Productivity performance, delivering year-on-year Net Productivity expectations
  • Coaching and role modelling IL6S (Integrated Lean 6 Sigma) ways of working and phase journey progression
  • Building talent, capability and engagement across the plant – attracting, retaining and developing critical talent at all levels
  • Delivering NPD, Strategic Initiatives and Capital agenda on time and in full
  • Driving a customer-centric focus, delivering excellence in Service and Cash
  • Minimising environmental impact through year-on-year reductions in Waste, Energy and Water usage
  • Interfacing with key internal and external stakeholders to align priorities and deliver company objectives

What you will bring

A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career and the following experience and knowledge:

  • Solid experience leading a manufacturing facility in a fast-moving FMCG/food manufacturing environment, with a career spanning Front Line and/or Operations Lead level roles
  • Experience with LEAN, 6 Sigma tools and concepts in a food manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to develop, lead and deliver site-wide strategies and vision
  • Demonstrated experience delivering a balanced scorecard result across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Sustainability and Morale
  • Strong financial and business acumen, including management of budgets and cost control
  • Excellent communication (verbal & written), coaching and leadership skills in a team-based environment
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead change programs and build teams to own and execute strategy
  • Experience interfacing with broader Supply Chain and Commercial functions
  • Working knowledge of OHS and Quality/Food Safety Management systems
