Responsibilities

• Install and commission new plant machinery and equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of plant equipment, ensuring optimal operation.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
• Conduct inspections and assessments of plant machinery to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed, along with any necessary reports.
• Collaborate with other team members to improve equipment performance and operational efficiency.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations during all maintenance and repair tasks.
• Assist in training junior technicians on equipment operations and safety practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in mechanical engineering or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a Plant Fitter or in a similar position within the construction or industrial sectors.
• Strong knowledge of plant machinery, equipment maintenance, and repair techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics accurately.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and management.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to different job sites as required.
