What The Position is About:

• Maintain a safe working environment by assuring the maintenance department complies with all rules and regulations of the manufacturing plant
• Directly oversee maintenance employees and indirectly oversee any onsite contractors
• Suggest operational process improvements
• Contribute full to capability assessment during product and process development and translate those needs in functional design
• Maintain plant preventative maintenance programs while utilizing CMMs, including the Mechanical Integrity element of Process Safety Management
• Estimate costs related to layout design and monitor the construction process
• Develop and maintain critical spare parts inventory in order to minimize downtime and complete repairs in a timely manner
• Resolve technical problems and recommend production improvements
• Maintain maintenance/engineering records, reports, and plant drawings
• Develop capital wish list, and submit for approval projects that will improve efficiencies, increase capacity, lower operating costs, and/or reduce labor costs
• Oversee capital projects to ensure they are on time and on budget
• Direct outside vendors in routine and non-routine maintenance of manufacturing and building services equipment
• Communicate with other departments as needed
• Travel to customers, vendors, other company locations, and trade shows as required

The Right Candidate Will Have:

• 3+ years of management experience within manufacturing is required
• Experience managing a large workforce in a multi-shift operation is preferred
• Project management experience
• Knowledge of PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Associate’s degree or higher is preferred
