RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Instrumentation, Electrical Asset Reliability Management and Control System Operation:
  • Monitor and evaluate the reliability and performance of plant instrumentation, control systems, analyzers, electrical equipment, and field devices.
  • Analyze equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Establish and optimize equipment maintenance strategies based on reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) and risk-based maintenance (RBM) methodologies.
  1. Maintenance and Repairs:
  • Diagnose and repair faults in control systems, sensors, transmitters, actuators, and other instrumentation/electrical components.
  • Be responsible for safe execution of daily maintenance and other activities by conducting proper safety measures, such as JSA, training, etc.
  • Develop, review, and continuously improve preventive maintenance (PM) programs for instrumentation and electrical assets.
  • Review maintenance history and failure records to identify recurring issues and reliability improvement opportunities.
  1. Project/MOC Support:
  • Provide technical support for plant modification projects involving instrumentation, control systems, analyzers, SIS, and electrical systems.
  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), commissioning, and start-up activities.
  • Works independently for Modification of Changes (MOC)
  1. Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain and update E&I asset registry, equipment master data, maintenance plans, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure instrument index, loop drawings, cable schedules, P&IDs, logic diagrams, and electrical drawings remain current.
  1. Safety, Compliance & Others:
  • Participate in Process Safety Management (PSM), HAZOP, LOPA, SIL, and risk assessment activities.
  • Engage in E&I engineering standards unification in the organization and apply standards to maintenance and project execution

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in instrumentation, process control systems, and plant engineering within chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, or other process industries.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate effectively with global engineering teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Strong experience with DCS systems (Emerson DeltaV and/or Siemens PCS 7), including system modification, upgrades, lifecycle management, and implementation of MOC and small capital projects.
  • Strong understanding of asset management principles, equipment lifecycle management, Reliability Based Maintenance (RBM), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Process Safety Management (PSM), Functional Safety (SIS/SIL), HAZOP, LOPA, and risk management processes.
  • Capable of analyzing operational and maintenance data, identifying trends, and recommending improvement actions to enhance asset performance and plant reliability.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with experience providing technical guidance, coaching, and support to engineers, technicians, and contractors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and SAP maintenance management systems.
