What you will be doing

The department manager finance and controlling holds the full controlling responsibility of both our production & service legal entities in Poland. The role of this position is to monitor, follow up and steer the financial performance of the entities. He/she acts as business partner for both plant & BU management in all financial aspects of the running business and ad hoc projects. He/she demonstrates strong cost consciousness and actively drives performance dialogues. Beyond finance, this position plays a key role in implementing strategic initiatives together with the plant management team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Local SPOC on all controlling topics for both entities (1 production entity & 1 service entity)
  • Responsible for delivering timely & accurate financial planning, budgeting and forecasting, providing insights to support decision-making and performance management planning,
  • In charge of the reporting & analysis of the monthly results, explain variances actual vs budget/forecast/previous years.
  • Partners with business leaders, acting as a trusted advisor to influence decisions
  • Partners with and provides recommendations to plant and BU management on overall site efficiency improvements
  • Organize the product costing in line with standardized BU guidelines, understand and analyze cost drivers. Enhance product costing accuracy.
  • Follow up and explain metal balances and yield losses
  • Understand, follow up and explain site CAPEX at highest forecasting accuracy
  • Follow up, analyze and challenge site net working capital
  • Support plant & BU management in all financial aspects of ad hoc projects
  • Act as local business owner of the current finance tools (SAP/Anaplan/power BI) and safeguard the principles in line with BU requirements and template.

Who we are looking for

  • Master degree in finance
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in a finance function, of which at least part in a production environment with focus on cost accounting and controlling
  • Solid Knowledge of IFRS and primary financial statements and controlling modelling
  • Expertise skills in Microsoft tools (mainly excel & power BI)
  • Fluent in English
  • SAP knowledge is a plus
