Our client, a trailblazer in the automotive sector, is seeking a dynamic Plant Controller to join their team in Brampton, Ontario. Reporting to the General Manager, this pivotal role involves overseeing the entire financial function of the plant.

Responsibilities:

• Managing financials for the plant, encompassing AR, AP, capital assets, inter-company transactions, accruals, etc.

• Generating financial reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

• Providing weekly forecasts and communicating any changes.

• Offering continuous improvement ideas related to financial and production processes, collaborating with managers to identify inefficiencies and cost savings.

• Monthly review and approval of journal entries, aging AR, and reconciliations.

• Implementing and maintaining internal controls.

• Preparing the plant's annual budget.

• Assisting with internal and external audits.

• Leading inventory counts and inventory valuation.

Required Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in accounting.

• 5+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Experience working in an AS400 environment.

• Leadership experience.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Proficiency in Excel.

• Knowledge of Bill 198 internal control requirements.

Complimentary Experience:

• CPA, CMA, or CA.

• Experience in the automotive sector.
