NOTE - Client is a new startup in Thailand who has a setup in INDIA

For Candidate's Basic Understanding -

He/She needs to work as individual contributor.
Do the hunting for land first in Khon Khaen to start the plant breeding sessions.
The land will be finalized after the management decision.
There will be a work setup for the candidate who works from the land/farm after the land is finalized.
Fully onsite which will require some travel if required and Travel Allowance will be given.

Interview Details

1st round - MD and Breeding team - Platform - Zoom

Final round - MD and Sales Head mostly Face 2 Face from Thailand as the MD will be present in Thailand

Job Title: Plant Breeder

Working Conditions

Working Hours: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Office location - WAYRA BIZNET 18/160 , Thanon Rom Klao , Khlong Sam Prawet , Lat Krabang , Bangkok 10520 , Thailand

Salary - 40-80 K THB , Inclusive everything like benefits and allowances (As its a startup there will be basic benefits which can be asked by the candidates in the interview session directly.)

Qualification M.Sc. Plant Breeding & Genetics

Direct Reports: Breeding Group Head

Internal Farm Manager, Field Supervisor, Field Assistant, Sales Team etc.

1 JOB PURPOSE

To breed, develop, scout elite varieties and hybrids of mandated crops.

2. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

(Accountabilities associated with the job)

1. To implement the breeding programmes given by the Breeding Group Head.

2. Get the proper documentation of various activities in prescribed formats.

3. Guide all Field Assistant of his group for proper data observation and identification off type plant and crop maintenance.

4. Assisting the Sr. Breeder for getting the crop review process completed and diverse proper response and action plan.

5. Provide data and documents required to the Chief.

6. Any other critical and responsible job arising from time to time.

Educational Qualifications

a) Qualifications

Minimum Qualification required: Graduate i.e., B.Sc. Agriculture

Qualifications preferred: M.Sc. Plant Breeding & Genetics

b) Work Experience

Minimum 2 years of experience

Knowledge of Seed Breeding.

Training:

• Attend a 15-30 day training program in India sponsored by the company, including tickets, stay, and food.

Leaves:

• Annual Leaves: 6 days/year
• Business Leaves: 3 days/year
• Birthday Leave: 1 day/year

Probation Period: 120 days

Target During Probation

1st Month:

• Identification of land in Khon Kaen for R&D trials and germplasm collection for different crops.

2nd Month:

• Sowing of trials for different crops.

3rd Month:

• Maintain all agronomy practices for the breeding program.

4th Month Onwards:

• Maintain all agronomy practices and collect data points.
